The Faculty of Health Sciences Human Resources Office invites suitably qualified and experienced applicants to apply for the position of Human Resources Officer. The Human Resources Officer reports to the Faculty of Health Sciences HR Manager and is a HR business Partner who works closely with departmental heads, managers and employees to proactively add value in terms of the lifecycle of the employee, including recruitment and related administration, employee relations, ensuring that HR policies & procedures are consistently interpreted and implemented in his/her area of responsibility and MIS reporting. S/he works collaboratively with other experts and is a proactive and a collaborative team member.
Requirements for the Post:
- Relevant 3 year HR degree or diploma
- At least three years generalist human resources experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in Oracle or a similar ERP system,
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to work according to tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to deal with conflict in a constructive manner
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and a willingness to apply best practice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy in MS Office suite (Excel, word and PowerPoint)
- Experience in a university environment will a strong be advantageous.
